Swipe nightly (March 2026)
We are working on improving the swipe functionality in FUTO Keyboard. The swipe nightly version includes a new ML model for swipe typing in QWERTY English. This is a different version from the main nightly.

Please note that the nightly version may be unstable. It’s recommended to keep a stable keyboard installed in case it stops working. You can do this by keeping another keyboard installed, or the stable version of FUTO Keyboard. If your phone has a text password for lockscreen, there may be some additional risks.
How to use
ML swipe suggestions appear with a wavy underline. If you do not see this wavy underline, ensure the following:
- Number row and arrow row are disabled
- You are in English QWERTY
- Multilingual typing is disabled
- Enable “Use experimental swipe model” in Keyboard & Typing
- You have FUTO Keyboard (Dev Build) selected as your keyboard, and that dev build is from the above link
Limitations
The current build is primarily focused on QWERTY English and may not offer much improvement outside of that, but future builds will focus beyond that.
Swiping may be broken in the split layout.
Personal dictionary and learned entries are currently ignored.
